I didn't attend the meeting either but I wanted to chime in on your question about intro to modern dance class.
I run a space called FEVERHEAD on Goodale Blvd.
I teach a class called Dancing on the Slow Down every Sunday at 2pm. 3 Sundays of the month the class is mostly improvisational but based on contemporary/modern dance concepts.
the first Sunday of each month is a beginning level contemporary/modern dance technique class.
all versions of the class are terrific for folks who want to learn to move from their own imagination, intuition and creative ideas while being guided by a professional instructor and educator. each Sunday adds skills and knowledge to everyone's mind/body.
and we have a great time on top of all of that.
if you would like to come and observe and/or participate, just drop in. here's the link to the event information.

Thanks for the invite. If I can't make it, please keep me posted on future meetings. Does anyone know of an intro modern dance class taught on a regular basis (I am aware of classes at BalletMet, but wanted to know of other venues.) Thank you.
Julia Grawemeyer might attend Eric Mehl's event
